Flats and Sharps Project

Say Hello

Welcome

I use this blog to share original compositions for cello and piano — pieces born from moments of beauty, emotion, and sometimes frustration with the world around me. Music becomes the soundtrack to our lives _ it helps us process, remember and even heal from experiences, and this blog is where I explore that dialogue. Alongside my works, I write about the things that inspire me as well as the things that unsettle me _ the contrast between harmony and dissonance, both in sound and in life. I invite you to listen, read, and join me in exploring the light and shadow that shape the music I create.

As a composer, I’ve often entertained the possibility that The Cello-Piano Notebooks might serve as a doorway to new and exciting music in someone’s life. These duets stand as proof that the vast and wondrous world of music is not only a source of entertainment, but also a way of life _ a living, breathing art that connects, challenges, and transforms us.

In any case, it will be my honor to know that some enthusiastic amateur musicians might discover these pieces and have the the chance to play what I consider friendly, and approachable compositions. And if it matters to you, know that, I do not use "artificial intelligence" to create my music.

One must not be suspicious of the man who takes pleasure in music and sounds, but rather measure how well he sharpens his spirit by them.
